1868 Dominion of Canada Shooting Medal - Cased Birks Sterling

A beautiful shooting medal presented by the Dominion of Canada in 1868 and so marked. Lovely likely of period soldiers on the front with inscription to the reverse. The Blue leather case is marked Birks. The heavy silver medal is marked on the rim BIRKS STERLING. A truely striking item.
