WW2 British No.46 Set Radio Bag

The Wireless Set No. 46 was a manpack transceiver developed in 1942, principally for communication during beach landing operations. Frequency Range 3-9.1 MHz. It had three pre-set crystal controlled channels. R/T or MCW. Range: up to 10 miles using long type rod. The set was completely waterproof, self-contained and carried by one man. The combined dry battery pack was the same type as used with the No. 18 and No. 68 Sets.

The bag is mint and well marked. As you can see in the pictures. There is hole in the top for passage of an antenna. The inside has two compartments, one for the radio and the other for a spare battery I would think. The top has a reinforced liner which is waterproof and has printed directions.

The bag measures 11 x 4 x 4 inches.
