1944 Royal Marine Commando Beret and Badge

A relatively scarce beret and badge to the RM Commando. The beret is dark blue in colour with a red tab on which is affixed the cap badge. The blue beret was worn by RM recruits and was replaced by the green beret upon graduation from the Commando Course. Support staff who were not Commando qualified also wore this beret while attached to the RMC.

The beret has no mothing but shows some wear to the leather sweat band. Well marked inside BERET INDUSTRIES 1944 with the Broad Arrow and size 61/4.
