Pre 1914 Large Glengarry/Cross Belt badge - Victoria Rifles of Canada

An unusual large militia period badge to the VRC. This badge measures 2.75 inches by 2.75 inches and has two mounting lugs to the reverse. Typically VRC badges are blackened but his one is in brass and shows no traces of ever having been black.
