Canadian 1916 Pattern Bayonet Frog - Rifle Regt Black

A nice Canadian 1916 Pattern leather frog for the Lee Enfield sword bayonet. The frog is clearly stamped with a C broad arrow and the strap is marked HUGH CARSONS OTTAWA. Under the strap is partial maker mark and 1916. Stamped to the reverse of the frog is 123 which may be a Bn number.

The front of this frog has been dyed black for use by a Rifle Regiment. First time I've seen this, although I've encounted Oliver pattern belts which were dyed black and marked to the Queens Own Rifles.
