North Vancouver, BC Canadian Engineers Swagger Stick - named
An exceedingly rare and charming swagger stick with Birks Sterling marked head. The head has the likeness of the Canadian Engineers Cap Badge marked beneath North Vancouver, BC. Engraved to the reverse is the initials B.B. This was obtained from the estate of a B.C. Bracewell (a deputy minister in BC from 1945-54). A check of the WW1 archives revealed the Bruce Bracewell, of North Vancouver, enlisted in 6 Field Company, CE in 1916.

Further research revealed that BB was the father of the aforemention Bracewell of BC political fame.
The stick itself is painted a khaki brown and retains the brass end tip.
