5th Battalion Western Cavalry Raw Edge Brodie Helmet

A stunning helmet to the 5th Battalion from Saskatchewan (Tuxford's Dandies). An early war raw edged brodie which has been overpainted a dark textured green with a 5th Bn cap badge likeness stenciled on the front. This one is produced by FS (Thomas Firth and Sons). The liner is missing but it retains a broken chinstrap. Raw edged brodies were only produced from 1915 until April 1916 when a rim was added.

I collect to the 5th and have only seen one other 5th Bn helmet like this and it resides in my personal collection! I am tempted to keep this one too, but am trying not to be greedy! Grab it before I change my mind!
