WW1 British Harness Strap - 1918 Marked

A very heavy leather strap with steel hook on one end. I suspect this has something to do with harness for draft horses. Very heavy leather strap, well marked WILMOT BENNET WALSALL 1918. Also a Broad Arrow over a 2. Measures 11 inches long by 1.5 inches wide.
