1947 RCAF Winter Experimental Station (WEE) Patch - Crest Craft

An extremely rare patch from a short lived portion of RCAF History. In 1947, a Winter Experimental Establishment was set up at Edmonton with advanced bases at Watson Lake and Churchill. This Establishment provided guidance in the design of new equipment for cold weather use and in improving existing technology. The RCAF carried out tests for Canadian forces as well as British and American air forces.

This patch shows the join cooperation between the RCAF, RN and RAF.

This patch is large (nearly 6 x 6 inches) and is near mint. Marked Crest Craft to Reverse.
